Tomas Kral

Tomas Kral ha aperto il suo studio a Losanna nel 2009. Trae ispirazione dalle tradizioni e cerca di infondere nei suoi oggetti una parte di inaspettato, umorismo e freschezza.

In collaboration with HARTÔ, Tomas developed the Lubin wall mirror. This graphical element in the form of "circumflex" is a small nod to the "Ô" of HARTÔ. Tomas also designed the office collection - Charlie. A collection based on the idea of assembling two sheets of metal so that the user can create different compositions on his desk.

Kral si è diplomato alla Scuola Cantonale d'Arte di Losanna (ECAL) dove ha conseguito un Bachelor in Industrial Design nel 2006 e un diploma post-laurea in Design nel 2008. Nel 2009 ha completato la sua formazione con un diploma di un anno in MAS design e industria del lusso presso l'ECAL. Recentemente il suo lavoro è stato premiato con riconoscimenti come il "Leitz Innovation & Design Award" in Germania, il Federal Design Award nel marzo 2010 a Berna o il Red Dot Design Award nel 2018.
